    Re: Security Exception

    Hi,

    1. does demo project works on your local computer?
    2. check you security policy on server where you try to run you aspx.

as you see it works properly in this site.

there is win2003/IIS, no custom security changes.

as i know it works fine for many users.

    Re: Security Exception

    Hello,

I've got the same security exception. And it works also on my local computer.
My provider only allows 'medium trust' applications.

Do you already solved this problem?

    Regards,
    Koen

    Re: Security Exception

I am not sure, but may be I have solution

    first read this one
    http://blogs.msdn.com/shawnfa/archive/2005/02/04/367390.aspx
    and this one
    https://support.isqsolutions.com/article.aspx?id=10334

if I understand it correct there are two way to solve the problem

    1. Build assebly w/o strong name signing
you can do it from sources.

    2. I added [assembly: AllowPartiallyTrustedCallers]
attribute. I hope it is what  was missed.
next build with this attribute will be releised soon.

    Thanks for you help.

    Re: Security Exception

    Hi!

I have also come across exactly the same problem with my ISP (it works on my localhost).

They say that it wants to run with "Full Trust" (and they only allow "Medium Trust").

They also say that they don't allow Assemblies that haven't specified that "Partial Trust" is allowed (which I understand means that the addition of [assembly: AllowPartiallyTrustedCallers] was a good thing, but it seems to not have helped?)

I have also tried all previous versions of IZ.WebFileManager.dll, but still the same error message.

It's a real pity, since I think this file manager is the best there is. And there must be a lot more than just a few of us that are experiencing the same problem?

    Re: Security Exception

This is not really a solution but I use the control on WebHost4life hosting www.webhost4life.com and it works perfectly well.
They are also very inexpensive and provide good service.
If you are desperate to use the control you could try setting up your application there.

I also agree this is a great control ... thanks again Igor

    Re: Security Exception

I get the same error: The application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy.

If I set trust level to full it works ok, but if I set trust to medium I get the error.  My ISP doesn't allow medium trust.

Is there a version of the file manager that supports medium trust?

    Re: Security Exception

Please try updated new 2.5.1 version

It suppose to work with  medium trust level.

If you still have problems, please report me.
